![]() ![]() ![]() Somewhow it has not been updated correctly. In fact, their ist file does not even contain the data. Recently, since the launch of iTunes 11, I’ve been hearing from Correspondents who report that some of my software (apps and scripts) that need to access the ist are no longer finding the iTunesRecentDatabasePaths data. Third-party apps can then locate the current database by simply reading the meta data from the ist. If or whenever you select or create a new library by Option-launching iTunes the location you select is stored in the ist as iTunesRecentDatabasePaths. By default, the location of the current iTunes database files is in ~/Music/iTunes/, like in the screenshot below. This preferences file also maintains the location of the current iPhoto library and perhaps the locations of other apps’ support files. Dupin Lite does not display my playlists or library in the Playlist Popup:-Īs you may know, the location of the current iTunes library’s database files can be read from a user preferences file named “”. This is what the Dupin Lite support page says on the subject - Im completely confused ? Without some help I’ve obviously wasted my money buying Dupin Lite ! ![]() I would be very grateful if anyone could offer some simple line by line idiot proof instructions, to help someone with zero operating system literacy, fix this problem. I'm certain I would goof up and corrupt my entire computer ? However, I am very low on the IT foodchain and just do not understand what is being talked about in this article and am thus frightened to even try and undertake the prescribed fix ?. I think this must be the problem described in the ist issue mentioned in the "current issues" page of the Dupin Lite FAQ & Support page. My problem is the simple fact that Dupin Lite cannot find my Music library, ie, when I open Dupin Lite, the library popup in the top left of my dupin lite window is empty and when I click on it there are no music or other libraries to select. My iTunes music library is located on an external iOmega hard drive as its a large lossless format library (700Gb+) and thus much too big to sit on my internal drive. I have a Macbook Pro running Mac OS X 10.7.5 and iTunes v 11.0.1. I have downloaded and installed Dupin Lite from the iTunes store but it will not work ? ![]()
